Directional Signs
Indoor, outdoor and digital wayfinding, from a single directory sign to a building-wide system.
View serviceSafety signage is not decorative. It is a practical and regulatory requirement that keeps employees, visitors and contractors aware of hazards before an incident happens.
Why safety signage matters
Isra Signage designs, fabricates and installs safety signage for offices, schools, construction sites, warehouses and hospitality venues across Dubai and Ajman, covering the warning, hazard, mandatory and emergency signage a UAE workplace is expected to have.
Proper safety identification does two things at once. It reduces the chance of accidents by keeping hazards visible, and it shows that reasonable safety measures are in place. Whether it is a fire exit sign in a busy office, a chemical hazard sign in a warehouse or temporary road work signage on a construction site, the right sign in the right place is a small cost against a serious risk.

Formats beyond the standard wall sign
Safety sign colours and what they mean
UAE workplace safety signage follows the standard international colour coding, so signs are understood regardless of language.
| Colour | Sign type | Meaning | Example |
|---|---|---|---|
| Red | Prohibition or fire equipment | Stop, prohibited action, or fire equipment location | No smoking, fire extinguisher location |
| Yellow | Warning | Caution, be careful, check for a hazard | Wet floor, moving machinery |
| Blue | Mandatory | A specific action is required | Wear PPE, hard hat area |
| Green | Safe condition | Safe route, first aid, or emergency escape | Exit route, first aid point, assembly point |
Material and format options
We match the material to the environment the sign has to survive.
| Format | Best for | Environment | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rigid PVC or acrylic boards | Wall-mounted warning and hazard signs | Indoor and sheltered outdoor | Cost-effective, easy to mount |
| Reflective or weather-graded metal | Traffic, parking and road work signs | Full outdoor exposure | Built for UV, dust and long-term outdoor use |
| Photoluminescent glow signs | Emergency exit and evacuation signage | Indoor, power-outage scenarios | Visible during low light or power loss |
| Temporary or portable signage | Construction sites, road work zones | Outdoor, short-term deployment | Freestanding or barrier-mounted |

Yes. Photoluminescent emergency exit and evacuation signage is available where visibility during low light or a power outage matters.
Turnaround depends on quantity and sign type, but we prioritise fast production for clients working toward an audit or inspection deadline. Contact us with your timeline for a specific estimate.
Sizing depends on viewing distance. Signs viewed up close, on doors or machinery, typically use A4 or A5. Corridor and interior wall signs generally use A3 or A2. Outdoor or highly visible areas need A1 or larger. We can recommend exact sizing during your site assessment.
As a general rule, signs should be mounted at eye level, roughly 150cm to 160cm from the ground, positioned at the entrance to a hazard rather than right beside it, and never obstructed by doors, cabinets or equipment. Fire exit signs should be visible from every corner of the room they are in.
